4.28.10 Revival Service

As our revival service come to a close, Bro. Scott reminds us of the most important concept of revival. Revival begins before the speaker arrives and last long after the services are over. Tonight we look at reaching the lost, our sole purpose for remaining here once we have received salvation. We need to always remember that in everything we do, we live for God, and we should desire for everyone to have the same assurance that we do.  We would like to thank Bro. Scott for his great and inspiring messages and pray that revival will continues on in each and every person lives.

4.27.10 Revival Service

As our revival continues, Bro. Scott dives ever deeper into God’s word to find what we need to hear. Tonight, the message revolved around the sin in our live. So often we can be drug down by the sin that so easily entangles our lives, but it’s something that we should be able to let go of.  Once we have asked for forgiveness, God eliminates that sin from our lives, and though we can still remember it, God will never again hold it to us, once we ask for forgiveness of that sin.

4.26.10 Revival Service

Tonight we have our first weekday revival service for our spring revival, and it was a wonderful message. Bro. Scott brought a powerful message about remaining steadfast. In all things we are to keep moving, keep going, and never give up. If we ever do give up, that is when we lose the battle, a battle that has already been won by Jesus Christ. Please enjoy this sermon as our Spring Revival rolls on.

4.25.10 Morning Service

As we begin our Spring Revival, we welcome Bro. Scott Arant to Weldon. In this first sermon, Bro. Scott challenges us to recommit ourselves to the ministry. In the passage, Paul is speaking to Timothy and is giving him encouragement to continue on in his ministry. The same charge that Paul gave Timothy applies to us today.  We should remain ever committed to God’s ministry.

4.11.10 Evening Service

This evening, Dr. Foxworth brings us another great message. Tonight, Dr. Foxworth delves into the book of Acts. Acts is an amazing book that discusses the early church. Here the church was growing exponentially and the apostles had great tales of how Christ worked in their lives in many situations. Christ still works in our churches today, if we allow God to work.

4.26.10 Easter Service

Happy Easter! This morning, we had a couple of great Services. At 7am we met at Corney Lake for our annual Easter Sonrise Service. Though the Sun only made a brief appearance, we all had a great time in worship, singing praises to our risen Savior. Bro. Henry Arant brought a wonderful Sonrise message.

After the Sonrise Service, we retired to the Fellowship Hall for our Fellowship Breakfast where we all had a wonderful breakfast and fellowship with our brothers and sisters in Christ.

Finally we had our Easter Cantata, performed by the Weldon Baptist Church Choir. This year’s cantata was a compilation of several past songs, both classic and modern. The entire service was wonderful and as we celebrated Christ rising from the grave.

Evening services were cancelled to allow for everyone to spend times with their families on this special day.

3.28.10 Evening Service

Bro. Phillip Farris speaks tonight about the battles that we face each and every day. We are in constant warfare with things unseen, with spiritual beings. Yet as we battle with evil, we have a constant companion and our victory is assured in Christ Jesus. We are God’s children and as such we will always win the battle against evil.

3.28.10 Morning Service

This morning we welcome a very good friend of Weldon, Bro. Phillip Farris and family. Bro. Phillip was once a member of Weldon Baptist, but now has stepped out on faith to follow God’s will in his life and surrendered into the ministry. This morning, Bro. Phillip speaks from 1 Samuel when God removed the Golden Shields and men replaced these shields, with shields of Brass. While the shields were beautiful and functional, they were still not gold. This is just how we carry our brass shield in our everyday life, while its great its still not what God can give us……a shield of Gold.
