12.13.09 Morning Service

This morning we welcome back Bro. Ray Mears to our pulpit. In this sermon, Bro. Mears talks about how Peter became fishers of men in Luke 5:1- 10. Trusting in God is the only way that we can ever find anything in this life. Peter saw this through a something that would have made since in that day and age. Through something as common as fishing, Jesus is able to show Peter how powerful and mighty he is.

11.29.09 Morning Service

Before observing the Lord’s Supper, Dr. Charles Foxworth speaks about the Passover Lamb. In Exodus 12:1-14, we see the children of God beginning to prepare for the Passover in Egypt. Dr. Foxworth compares the sacrificial lambs of the Old Testament and the one Perfect Lamb that Jesus was and still is.  As we observe the Lord’s Supper this morning, we must remember that Jesus was our Passover Lamb, and without his sacrifice, there is no forgiveness of sin and no chance for an eternity in heaven with God. The similarities are striking as the symbols are as only God could create. “Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!” – John 1:29b (NKJV)
